Job Description:

with university partners.Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Execute day-to-day payroll operations for
both salaried and hourly employees across multiple states, ensuring
accurate and timely processing of wages, tax withholdings, and
deductions.
- Workday Payroll: Manage payroll within the Workday system,
including data uploads, system audits, and integrations, ensuring
the system accurately reflects employee payroll details.
- Multistate Payroll Compliance: Ensure payroll processing is
compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, handling
complex payroll tax matters and staying current with changing
legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Audits and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of payroll
data to ensure accuracy. Reconcile payroll data, including wages,
benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings, and resolve
discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Payroll Tax Filing Support: Collaborate with tax specialists to
assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations in all
applicable states.
- Process Improvements: Identify and recommend process
improvements within the payroll function to improve efficiency,
accuracy, and compliance.
- Employee Support: Address employee inquiries regarding payroll,
deductions, and taxes, providing timely and accurate
responses.Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience running payroll from end to end, with a
strong focus on multistate payroll.
- Expertise in using Workday for payroll processing, including
performing audits and handling integrations.
- Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes, federal/state
tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with ADP Smart Compliance or similar payroll tax
compliance tools is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to
handle multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must know how to work with pivot tables and V-look Ups
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or
related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.Risepoint is
