in the world.Who We're Looking ForToyota's Cyber Security Risk
Management (CSRM) Department is looking for a passionate and
highly-motivated Principal Cloud Engineer.The primary
responsibility of this role is to be a hands-on technical leader,
providing architecture guidance and support to develop and maintain
cloud-native big data analytics solutions. You will collaborate
closely with data engineers, network engineers, analysts, program
managers, and other engineering teams to deliver complex solutions
requiring deep expertise in cloud engineering. Your
responsibilities will include designing, developing, implementing,
and managing the Cybersecurity Analytics Platform's cloud
infrastructure, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, secure, and
cost-effective.Reporting to the Sr. Manager, the person in this
role will support the Cyber Protection department's objective to
enhance Toyota's security posture by leveraging data and advanced
analytics to make informed decisions and actions.What You'll Be
Doing
- Advance Data Architecture and Engineering Capabilities:
Develop, innovate, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient big
data analytics solutions on cloud platforms.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work within large, collaborative teams
to discuss use cases, and design and develop effective data
analytics architecture solutions across the organization and global
Toyota affiliates.
- Provide Leadership and Technology Guidance: Offer leadership
and guidance across the cloud engineering domain, fostering a
collaborative and innovative environment.
- Continuously improve cloud infrastructure: Stay updated on
emerging technologies and apply best practices to enhance cloud
infrastructure with better security, performance, and
cost-effectiveness.
- Innovate and adapt to change: Embrace a fast-paced, innovative
work environment.What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering,
or a related discipline, or equivalent professional
experience.
- Extensive expertise in architecting and deploying scalable AWS
IaaS solutions for big data analytics and machine learning,
ensuring they are optimized for performance, security, and
cost-efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud
resources.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the
ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to script in languages such as Bash or Python.
- Adhere to the organization's vision statement and
decision-making framework, understanding how team and personal
goals contribute to the organization's vision.
- Although the primary schedule is standard business hours, the
role requires the ability to adjust working hours, including
weekends and outside regular business hours, to support urgent
cybersecurity incidents and global affiliates.Added Bonus If You
Have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer or
related certifications.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure,
with a focus on their big data and analytics services.
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain.
- Experience with SIEM solutions, such as Microsoft Sentinel, is
