Senior Distinguished Engineers are expected to lead through technical contribution. You will operate as a trusted advisor for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. The Senior Distinguished Engineer (Senior Director IC) will be a part of the Consumer Experience Platform organization leading a strategic and systematic approach to challenging technical problems and seeing them to completion. We are seeking an expert in modern front-end development with deep knowledge of topics such as mobile app dev, personalized experiences, and client security. Additionally, you are comfortable with a vast range of other technical topics, including backend development, DevOps, microservices, containers, and web development.

Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation
Serve as an authoritative expert on non-functional system characteristics, such as performance, scalability and operability
Continue learning and injecting advanced technical knowledge into our community
Handle several projects simultaneously, balancing your time to maximize impact
Act as a role model and mentor within the tech community, helping to coach and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community
Review and approve architectural decisions, code quality, and technical decisions related to Android development.--
Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high quality client applications.--
Communicate project status, risks, and technical insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree--
At least 9 years of software engineering or software development experience
At least 5 years of experience with client application development, including web technologies (TypeScript) and mobile frameworks (iOS, Android)
At least 2 years experience building and owning product workloads with GraphQL
At least 5 years of experience with cloud native technologies

Bachelor's or Masters' Degree in Computer Science or related field--
-10+ years of software engineering or software development experience
-8+ years of experience with client application development, including web technologies (TypeScript, GraphQL) and mobile frameworks (iOS, Android)
-3+ years experience building and owning product workloads with GraphQL at enterprise scale
-3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or other public cloud providers
