Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at UT Health Emergency Medical Services. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesOur Paramedics are accountable for:

• Responding to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing high-quality patient care, including assessment, triage, and transportation
• Working collaboratively with EMTs and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment for patients and staffQualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must:
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be certified as an EMT in the state of Texas
• Hold all necessary certifications required by the Medical Control Board and UT Health East Texas EMS Master ContractPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
• National Registry certification
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification
• Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• 2 years of driving experience
