The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front End / Web Performance Engineer to join our team. You will have extensive experience in headless CMS architecture, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), and front-end optimization. You will focus on ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our digital platforms while delivering exceptional user experiences. You will report to the Digital Engineering Manager.

The Day-to-Day:

• Design, develop, and improve front-end architecture for web applications
• Implement and maintain headless CMS solutions to refine content management workflows
• Collaborate with teams to integrate CDNs and improve website speed and scalability
• Optimize web performance through techniques like lazy loading, asset bundling, and reducing render-blocking resources
• Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for front-end development
• Implement tools for performance monitoring and proactively address bottlenecks
• Stay updated on the latest trends in web technologies and propose solutions
  Your Qualifications:
  
  • Experience with front-end development, with a strong portfolio of high-performing websites or applications
  • Expertise in headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Strapi, or similar)
  • Experience with CDN architecture and implementation (e.g., Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS, or CloudFront)
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular)
  • Hands-on experience with performance optimization tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or New Relic)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for web applications
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG)
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards (WCAG)
    • Familiarity with edge computing and serverless architecture
      Compensation:
      
      • $140,000 - $170,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
      • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
