Summary:
An international IT support & solution provider serving the
automotive industry is seeking a Product Security Engineering
Specialist to join their team. The position focuses on providing
technical leadership in product cybersecurity for Connected,
Autonomous, Shared, and Electrified (CASE) mobility solutions and
digital services. It integrates technical expertise, leadership
skills, and cross-departmental collaboration to drive the safe and
secure design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge mobility
innovations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Analysis and Architecture:
Conducting and facilitating Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments
(TARA) for the end-to-end vehicle ecosystem (embedded systems,
cloud, and mobile apps).
Creating and implementing system requirements and technical
reference architectures that align with privacy-by-design and
security-by-design principles.
Technical Leadership:
Acting as an individual contributor and technical lead across
multiple projects with minimal oversight.
Supporting teams by identifying and addressing "impediments,"
collaborating with stakeholders, and driving tasks to
completion.
Collaboration and Facilitation:
Working with stakeholders to manage project timelines,
inputs/outputs, and dependencies.
Liaising with business leaders and other risk functions to deliver
program needs.
Hands-On Contribution:
Completing technical tasks such as TARA, system architecture, and
solution enablement.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
Cybersecurity Expertise:
At least 6 years of experience in security engineering with a focus
on identifying risks and designing countermeasures for embedded
systems, cloud systems, and mobile applications.
Familiarity with threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) and
hands-on experience in creating system requirements and reference
architectures.
Industry Knowledge:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industries such as automotive,
manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), or software.
Knowledge of connected, autonomous, shared, and electrified
mobility solutions is critical.
Technical Leadership:
Proven ability to lead as a technical contributor across multiple
projects with minimal oversight.
Capacity to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with both
internal and external stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication abilities to collaborate with peers,
management, and stakeholders.
Adept at relationship management and customer-focused
approaches.
Behavioral Competencies:
Results-driven, proactive problem-solving, and ability to mentor
and coach.
Organizational awareness to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and
anticipate business needs.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint.
Fluent English for both business and technical discussions.
Bonus:
Certifications such as OSCP, SANS/GIAC, CISSP.
Experience with cybersecurity regulations, compliance, and
standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, NIST, OWASP, etc.).
Japanese language proficiency for business and technical
discussions.
Background in industries like law enforcement, defense, or
intelligence communities.
