Senior Director of ProductHomeRiver Group is seeking a
Remote/WFH Senior Director of Product in Plano, Texas to help grow
their business and build a simpler, more customer-centric property
management experience for the Owners, Tenants, Property Managers,
and Operations teams.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to the Chief Technology Officer and work closely with
senior leadership to define and execute their product roadmap,
acting as portfolio owner for their suite of current and growing
digital products.
- Take the lead in identifying, developing, and integrating new
technologies to improve user experiences, automate processes, and
drive efficiency.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure that products and
technologies align with operational workflows and business
needs.
- Join a small product and tech team and own the ongoing
development of the products, product management practices, and
cross-functional alignment processes.
- Be responsible for spanning the entire breadth of product
experience and organization.
- Have player-coach responsibility, acting as both a people
manager and contributing individually to product management
projects and segments of the product experience.
- Manage engineering and development resources including
contractors and partners.
- Be responsible for building a high performing product
organization, bringing together team members, contractors, and
partners.
- Design and run regular roadmap planning exercises, developing
frameworks to synthesize disparate sources of information into
clear outcomes-focused initiatives.
- Using a data driven approach, develop key measures of success
for our product management practices and forward-looking projection
of product success.Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have expertise in product management, development
practices & leadership in a high-performance startup or technology
company.
- Must have experience and expertise in implementing and managing
Salesforce and integrating applications into it.
- Must be able to get up to speed on the property management
industry and become well-versed in the processes.
- Must have sufficient technical knowledge and depth to
collaborate effectively with and manage engineering team members to
ideate and influence initiatives and features geared towards
integrating our array of products and platforms leveraged as needed
by a rapidly growing organization.
- Must have expert analytical and quantitative skills; experience
using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop
business cases and coach team members to develop such skills.
- Must be able to create high-quality product requirements in
short cycle times. Ex: value shipping a good solution now over a
perfect solution month from now.Education, Certifications and
Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the Product
Management/Development domain required.
- Minimum of 4+ years of management experience with shore &
offshore teams required.Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Must be collaborative and open to feedback and great at working
as part of a team and be open to getting input on your roadmap and
product requirements so you can continuously improve.
- Must have experience developing clear, communicable plans in a
fast-paced environment and delivering products against those plans
within a cross-functional and, at times, ambiguous
environment.
- Must be able to shift quickly and adjust your process to fit
the needs of a fast-moving company.
- Must be interested in improving the complex processes related
to property management and developing outstanding experiences for
our owners and residents.
- Must drive strong internal communication with all facets of the
business, instilling a culture of transparency, proactivity, and
collaboration by producing succinct, regular updates, driving
alignment, and resolving conflict effectively.Preferred experience
but not required:
- Significant Fintech, Proptech or Real Estate Tech
experience.
- SQL or similar expertise with scripting languages for the
purpose of data analysis and report building.
