Job Description:

Job Summary: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, lead and supervise nursing staff, and contribute to a positive patient experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, and provision of quality nursing care to an assigned group of patients. Provides direction and supervision to nursing staff, including LVNs/LPNs, nursing assistants, and unit secretaries. May function as a charge nurse for the unit, overseeing patient care and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans that address patient needs and problems
  
• Provide safe and effective patient care, prioritizing based on patient acuity and needs
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve positive outcomes
  
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance
  
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by promoting open communication and addressing concerns

    • Medical Order Processing: Processes medical orders, describes functions and features of the system, and explains considerations for entering and following standing orders
      
    • Patient Chart Reading and Interpretation: Reads and interprets patient charts, recognizes unexpected readings, and alerts nursing or medical staff
      
    • Patient Safety: Ensures safety for patients, recognizes and addresses physiological and psychological signs of problems, and utilizes systems to document misses and near misses
      
      
      Job Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
        
      • Six months to a year of experience as a licensed RN or holder of an active GN permit
        
      • BLS required, RN License in state of employment or compact
        
        
        Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM
