Job Summary: Clinical Supervisor
Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing on nursing units, providing clinical and administrative supervision, and representing the hospital in the absence of administration and nursing directors/managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, visiting units/departments to assess status, interpret policies, and coordinate patient placement/transfer.
  
• Screen patients for admission/transfer appropriateness and facilitate placement in proper level of care.
  
• Act as hospital spokesperson, investigating incidents, and taking appropriate action.
  
• Consult with on-call administrators as needed.
  
• Arrange emergency operations and perform clinical functions as required.
  
• Intervene in patient, family, and physician complaints, following up with directors/managers and patient advocates.
  
• Assign staff, utilizing a mix of full-time, PRN, and agency staff to meet unit needs.
  
• Monitor and utilize competency/orientation checklists for temporary staff reassignment and agency staff assignment.
  
• Perform PFT reviews on PRN Pool associates.
  
• Provide input on staff performance to directors.
  
• Collaborate with other house supervisors and staffing personnel to effectively utilize the PRN pool.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
    
  • RN License in state of employment or compact.
    
  • BLS Certification.
