Job Description:
Summary: Experienced Nurse sought to provide high-quality
patient care in a dynamic clinical setting, utilizing strong
critical thinking and communication skills to drive positive
patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing
principles, with the ability to assess, plan, and implement
effective care plans for patients with complex needs. This role
requires a high degree of autonomy, with the ability to work
independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced
environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provides routine and complex care to patients, with a focus on
promoting positive patient outcomes and improving quality of
life.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and
develop effective care plans, taking into account individual
patient goals and preferences.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and
healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and promote a
culture of safety.
- Administers medications and treatments, monitors for side
effects, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care
given, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients,
families, and caregivers, with a focus on promoting health literacy
and self-management.

Standard I: Utilizes the Nursing Process
- Uses critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and
develop effective care plans.
- Communicates findings to healthcare teams and documents patient
information accurately.
- Develops and implements patient care plans, modifying as needed
to meet individual patient needs.
- Monitors and documents patient progress, evaluating treatment
effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
Standard II: Patient Throughput & Patient Flow Process
- Anticipates and plans for admission, discharge, and transfer
needs to facilitate patient flow.
- Utilizes communication systems and tools to facilitate
discharge processes.
- Coaches others on tools and techniques for checking,
cross-checking, and validating orders to ensure accuracy.
Standard III: Unit Operations
- Plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care and functions in a
particular nursing unit during an assigned shift.
- Demonstrates good stewardship in the proper use and maintenance
of equipment and supplies.
- Assesses departmental staffing needs and actively participates
in resourcing efforts.
Standard IV: Safe Practice/Quality Care/Regulations
- Incorporates patient safety practices and guidelines to promote
a safe environment and positive patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates accountability for nursing research and quality
improvement activities.
- Provides evidence-based nursing care and communicates patient
information effectively across the continuum of care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty,
preferred
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact
