States of America)Standard Weekly Hours:40Summary:The Assistant
Vice President (AVP) of Nursing for Cardiology collaborates to
develop strategies and initiatives supporting Cook Children's
Medical Center's Heart Center. In this role, you will be
responsible for:
- service line program growth and development
- implementation and oversight of safe and quality clinical
practice
- financial performance of inpatient units, outpatient clinics
and off-site regional locations
- for creating an environment that promotes high patient
satisfaction, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and quality
outcomes
- creating a culture that supports the Promise of Cook
Children's.You will also serve as a community liaison to develop
strong relationships with referral providers and centers, community
organizations, and patients and their families.Qualifications
- Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in
the State of Texas
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Master's degree in nursing or health care administration or
business required
- A minimum of five years nursing experience, which include 3
years in senior management.
- Healthcare Provider BLS or Friends and Family CPR with AED
Education
- Membership in professional nursing organizations
encouraged.
