Volt is immediately hiring for Software Engineer in Plano, TX.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
Active Secret Clearance

What You Will Do:
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development.
Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of software products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software systems.
Works closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.
Contributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of software efforts to ensure software performed meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints.
Develop and implement software test procedures, write software programs, and prepare related documentation.
Contribute to determining software project costs, estimating time, and validating the scope of software efforts.
Ensure that software products meet program cost, schedule, and technical performance goals.
Qualifications Must Have
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience with C++ and embedded real-time operating systems.
Experience with and an understanding of aerospace systems, especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products.
Experience with Modern C++ Technologies.
Experience with Docker.
Proficiency with software tools and languages, including MATLAB, LabView, Python, and C/C++/C#.
Pay Rate:
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
