Job Description:
Performs duties relating to the cutting, preparation, display,
and selling of meat products. All Whole Foods Market Retail jobs
require ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous,
friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at
all times. This includes checking product to meet WFM quality
standards, maintaining sampling programs, and mentoring Meat Cutter
Trainees. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean
and sanitary working environment, following established procedures,
and reporting safety hazards. Key skills include excellent cutting
skills, extensive knowledge of cuts and cooking techniques, and
strong communication skills. The position requires 14+ months of
retail experience, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a
fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include standing for
6-8 hours, hand use, and exposure to cleaning chemicals and
temperatures.
