areOptimum!Job SummaryThe Business Development Strategy & Insights
team empowers Optimum B2B National Sales to target, engage, and
convert high-value business customers. As an individual
contributor, you will drive sales effectiveness by delivering
data-driven insights that fuel subscriber growth and retention. You
will create and deliver analytics, dashboarding, and strategic
recommendations that support targeting, GTM strategy, sales plays,
account planning, and marketing. This role combines strategic sales
intelligence with hands-on data analytics, requiring expertise in
SQL, sales data visualization, reporting, and market
analysis.Responsibilities
- Deliver insights to the channel sales teams that help them hunt
efficiently - what to target, where to focus, and how to engage
prospects.
- Create clear, actionable visuals, and dashboarding with tools
like Power BI and Tableau that guide sales teams' tactics and
strategy.
- Collaborate with Data & Analytics and Sales Operations teams to
develop and deliver sales-impacting insights, analytics,
dashboarding, projects, and reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive segmentation analysis utilizing
firmographics, technographics, behavioral insights, industry
trends, network locations intelligence, and other key factors to
classify, quantify, and prioritize market opportunities. Develop
strategies to enhance targeting, optimize engagement, and maximize
penetration within high-potential segments.
- Analyze Optimum's network serviceable footprint to uncover
untapped B2B growth opportunities.
- Collaborate in crafting strategic sales initiatives that
capitalize on Optimum's connectivity and technology solutions,
driving market expansion and customer acquisition.
- Leverage Salesforce insights and reporting to support business
operations reviews and drive informed decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze key sales metrics - including gross adds,
revenue targets, quotas, pipeline health, conversion rates, deal
velocity, and lead quality - to refine business development
strategies and enhance sales performance.
- Analyze the customer base and churn to uncover retention
opportunities and areas for growth.
- Develop and execute sales targeting strategies and lead
generation initiatives. Design, implement, and manage sales-led
campaigns in Salesforce to drive opportunity creation and revenue
growth. Measure campaign performance, analyze outcomes, and
optimize strategies to maximize sales impact and achieve business
objectives.
- Perform TAM, SAM, and SOM analysis to quantify market potential
and identify high priority areas for sales efforts.
- Partner with sales teams to develop account plans that align
with broader growth strategies. Utilize first- and third-party
data, research tools, and platforms to uncover key account
insights, including opportunities, entry points, pain points,
business initiatives, and investment areas. Translate these
insights into actionable strategies that drive lead identification,
account penetration, and revenue growth. Ensure sales teams can
effectively leverage insights to retire quota and achieve business
objectives.
- Leverage competitor intelligence - such as competitor
positioning, market penetration, and solution gaps - to inform
sales plays and drive strategic engagement with prospects.
- Build scoring models to rank prospects based on revenue
potential, readiness to buy, customer fit, intent, relationship,
and engagement. Focus sales efforts on top targets.
- Partner with marketing to create targeted campaigns, messaging,
demand generation, field marketing, events, hospitality, and
account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives that address sales needs,
gaps, and goals.
- Help Optimum B2B Sales become deeply data-informed, AI-enabled,
and digital-first. Help sales gain a competitive advantage and
efficiencies thru technology by influencing the selection,
implementation and use of cutting-edge tools, platforms, and
subscriptions that will enable best-in-class, sales intelligence,
insights, sales enablement, and business development strategies.
Manage vendor relationships and build business
cases.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Finance, Marketing,
Data Science, or similar analytical field, Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics, with a proven
ability to deliver and effectively communicate actionable
insights.
- Advanced SQL experience, including writing complex
queries.
- Advanced Excel (e.g. Power Query, Power Pivot, functions -
Import, XLookup, Text Parsing, MS Query, VBA/Macros, webservice &
API calls). PowerPoint skills.
- Experience building advanced, user-friendly, and impactful
dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI,
Tableau, or similar.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning or similar CRM for lead
and opportunity tracking and account management. Strong
understanding of sales pipeline stages (e.g., prospecting,
qualification, negotiation, and closing) with the ability to
effectively navigate the platform to support and enhance sales
activities.Preferred:
- Experience supporting B2B sales operations and/or
marketing.
- Telecommunications and/or Technology industry experience.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX for creating
complex measures, calculated columns, and custom aggregations, as
well as proficiency in Power Query, data modeling, and performance
optimization to ensure efficient and scalable reporting
solutions.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and data warehousing, with
a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery;
experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks is also
valuable.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or other major CDP
(Customer Data Platform), to support customer 360-degree views of
customers, accounts, and business activities.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and ETL
processes to support and maintain pipelines.
- Experience with Salesforce reporting, including creating and
analyzing reports & dashboards.
- Experience setting up and managing Salesforce campaigns to

experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this
position in the posted location is $102,816.00-$168,912.00/ year.
